'CONSERVATORY' RANGE OF ORNATE CAST IRON SPIRAL STAIRCASES
Britannia 'Conservatory' range of cast iron spiral staircases are copies of ornate Vicorian originals. The staircases are supplied ready to assemble complete with all the necessary screws and bolts. The staircases can be made in any height in the styles and diameters set out below.
The Range There are two types of spiral staircase supplied by Britannia the standard 'Victorian' range illustrated overleaf and the more ornate 'Conservatory' range shown on this page. It should be noted that the riser on the 1200dia. model is not perforated as the 1800 dia. one illustrated.
Sizes & Specification The 'Conservatory' range comes in 1200mm and 1800mm diameter. All castings are made of grey iron and finished in primer or powder coated. Handrails and centre columns are made of steel and supplied primed only.

Rise: The rise of the steps can be adjusted to suit site conditions between 190mm & and a max. of 210mm.
Landings: The staircases can be supplied with either a steel landing frame to take flooring as required or a landing connecting collar to connect up to the existing landing structure.
Balusters: The standard tulip baluster used with both our spiral and straight staircases is pattern A01. These balusters are available in heights from 894 to 1094mm so that they can be modified to accommodate any balustrade height between 900mm and 110Omm (to comply with the Building Regulations). A number of other balusters available from Britannia can be modified as specials to be used as intermediate balusters such as the B25 shown in the photograph opposite.
